Dr. Vicki Tatum, DMD

Full Mouth Rehabilitation
Dental ImplantS
Dr. Vicki Tatum founded Tatum Dentistry in 1990. She earned her dental degree at the Medical University of South Carolina and completed a general practice residency at Emory University, where she fell in love with the detail and craft of restorative work.
Dr. Tatum is her own worst critic and she will tell you that with a laugh. She still checks the margins on crowns she placed twenty and twenty-five years ago, and she is quietly proud when they have held up the way she meant them to. That's the standard the rest of the practice runs on, too.
Outside of dentistry, she and her husband have hosted twenty Rotary International exchange students over two decades a chapter of her life she will tell you did more for her family than the family did for those kids. She was named Rotarian of the Year and served as president of the MUSC Alumni Association.
In the office, you'll often hear her singing along to whatever is playing.
Dr. Celeste Granger, DMD
Dr. Granger gives every patient her full attention, not just clinically, but personally. She takes the time to ask, listen, and truly get to know what’s going on in your life. That level of care is something you can expect every time you see her. She asks. She listens. She remembers things. That is who she is with every patient, including you.
Dr. Granger completed her training at The Ohio State University and Medical University of South Carolina. She’s currently continuing her education through the Kois Center curriculum, one of the most respected programs in dentistry, where she stays on the leading edge of patient care and treatment planning.
Originally from the Dayton, Ohio area, Dr. Granger is married to Kevin, and together they have twins who keep life busy and fun. Their first baby, Birdie, their golden retriever, still holds a very special place in the family.
When she’s not in the office, you’ll usually find her spending time with friends and family, enjoying the beach, or cheering on college football. Go Buckeyes!

Lindsey

I was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, and graduated from Francis Marion University in 2013. During college, I met my wonderful husband, and after graduation, he brought me to the beautiful city of Charleston, South Carolina, which I’m proud to now call home.
We have two amazing children; our daughter Lilly, born in February 2017, and our son Sawyer, born in December 2018. As a family, we love spending time on the water in Charleston Harbor and cheering on the South Carolina Gamecocks!
I began working at Tatum Dentistry in May 2014 and truly enjoy being one of the first friendly faces you’ll encounter, whether on the phone or in person. I’m passionate about making each patient’s experience exceptional and ensuring every visit feels welcoming and comfortable. One of the most rewarding parts of my role is seeing smile transformations and the confidence they bring. I also love meeting new patients every day and helping create a positive, stress-free visit.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, being a mom, fishing, and shopping.

I’ve been fortunate to call the Lowcountry home for over 30 years. My husband, Jeremy, and I live in Goose Creek, where we’ve raised our son, Jace, along with our two dogs, Stormy and Walter.
I graduated from Trident Technical College in 2015 as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (EDDA). I spent over six years working chairside in pediatric dentistry before joining the Tatum Dentistry team in January 2022.
As a Patient Care Coordinator, I help create a smooth and welcoming experience for our patients, from scheduling and communication to making sure they feel comfortable and confident every step of the way. I also assist clinically when needed and serve as the point of contact for our social media and marketing efforts, working closely with our media team to ensure our patient experience and office culture are reflected online.
I’ve truly enjoyed building meaningful relationships with our patients and continuing to grow alongside the best dental team in Charleston.

Meet Our Dental Assistants

Sheila
Dental Assistant
I am fortunate to be a native Charlestonian and to have such a wonderful, growing family. I’m a proud mom of four and love spending time with my seven amazing grandchildren.
I have been in the dental field since 1993 and have been part of Dr. Tatum’s team since 1998. Over the years, I’ve continued my education through the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies and numerous courses focused on cosmetic, restorative, and implant dentistry. I especially enjoy working with the latest technology, including the iTero 3D scanner, which allows us to create more comfortable and precise impressions for our patients.
I truly love being part of a team that stays on the leading edge of dentistry while still prioritizing personal, meaningful patient care.
Outside of the office, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, golfing, or working in the garden with my husband. I also have a passion for dog sports and love training and competing with my dogs, Wyn, my Border Collie, and Bizzy and Dice, my Border Paps. We travel throughout the Southeast competing in agility trials at both local and regional levels.

Meet The Emotional Support Team

Sophie
Office Poodle
Hi, I’m Sophie. I’m Dr. Tatum and Robb's standard poodle and the unofficial emotional support department here at the office.
You may see me walking around checking on patients, supervising the team, or strategically placing myself where someone might accidentally drop a snack. I take my role very seriously.
Most people say I help make the office feel calmer. Personally, I think it is my curls and eye contact. I am especially good at sitting beside nervous patients like we have been best friends forever.
When I am not helping around the office, I enjoy naps, treats, long walks, and making sure Dr. Tatum never has to work alone.
If you come in for an appointment and see me, feel free to say hi. Belly rubs are always accepted as payment.
From Our Blog
We write about the things our patients ask us about most: TMJ, Invisalign, sleep apnea, what your mouth has to do with the rest of your body. Pull up a chair.
